“It dosen’t do what I Wanted” 2010-07-05
By Oldsoundman
It works really good on everything but DIVX. I have burned many DVD disks on DIVX. They play back on the computer but not on the Pineer unit. The only reason I bought it was for DIVX playback.
I can’t find out how to use the USB recording . HELP !
This is the first time I have done anything like this . (review I Mean)

I love the Pioneer DV-220V-K HDMI 1080p Upscaling DVD Player. The USB port is great I hook my External hard drive up to the USB and can watch all the movies that’s on my External hard drive. Thank you so much. Because most player don’t have a USB port. love the product and will be buying one more. If you like to down load movies but can’t play them back because it come in DivX format. Please buy one and I’m sure you will love it as much as I do. Toni

“so far so good” 2010-03-11
By Chad A. Rossi
Just received this yesterday, 03/10/10, and it has played avi files on DVD-R and a flash drive. I will update in a few weeks. But so far so good. Picture with HDMI upconversion with a store bought DVD is near Blu-ray. The picture with a DVD-R with a burned movie on it is decent quality.
Over a month later, and it continues to be an awesome DVD player. Knock on wood! Seriously thinking of ordering another one for the bedroom.

“File compatibility issues” 2010-03-04

Though when it works, it really really works, sometimes it just doesn’t. The file types are supposedly supported, but it can’t read them off the USB or off a DVD. Overall we’re happy with it, but wish it didn’t have issues with the files.
